One of the events that Meacher-Jones sponsor is the Chester Charity Beer Festival. 2017 Was no exception to this (our 6th year in fact).

As is our ethos here at Meacher-Jones, we work hard but also play hard. What better event to support than our local beer festival!

The beer festival provides few laughs, a few drinks and is all in the name of charity. On top of this, there is always great live music provided by local bands. This year  a couple of the bands even had a few of our very own friends playing in them.

The Chester Charity Beer Festival is an opportunity for people to meet and socialise for a good cause. That is exactly what we did. With 130+ real ales, ciders and perries, we did not come near to trying all the beers but gave it our best try.

Our thanks go to the organisers from Chester Grosvenor 76 Round Table and Chester Grosvenor 41 club for organising such a great event and looking after their sponsors so well.

History of the Chester Charity Beer Festival

When the festival was first held in 1989, the original organisers Dave Challinor, Clark Tilling and Mike Stuart, who still help the festival greatly today, hoped they could turn a small profit. This profit would then be donated to local charities. That ethos remains today and the aim of community, fun and charity continues. The Chester Charity Beer Festival is an opportunity for people to meet and socialise for a good cause. This is a legacy which the Chester Grosvenor 76 Round Table and Chester Grosvenor 41 club are very proud of.
